Vancouver Island Society of Cricket Umpires and Scorers (VISCUS)

The objective of the Society is to improve the standard and enjoyment of the cricket played on Vancouver Island by way of better umpiring and scoring. To this end the VISCUS has organized - with the support of the VDCA - a number of umpire qualification courses. The membership of the VISCUS now totals around 100 Cricket Canada qualified umpires. The VISCUS will organize further courses for umpiring and scoring as and when demand arises.

The VISCUS actively encourages the use of the VDCA’s Match Reports as an important feedback method for umpire assessment and improvement.

We look forward to the new season and will work together with the VDCA to enhance the players', umpires', and spectators' enjoyment of our sport.

For more information regarding the VISCUS, please contact VISCUS Secretary Alphonso Franco.
